Our People

For Terrance Buyze, helping seniors make the most of their financial assets is rewarding work. With over 20 years of experience in asset preservation and protection, Terry enjoys guiding his clients as they implement the strategies that help them meet their financial and life goals. Mr. Buyze has helped retired employees form Sara Lee, Grand Traverse County, AT&T, Consumers Power, School Teachers, physicians and retired business owners save money in taxes and increase retirement income.

Terry holds the
Life Underwriters Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) designation which required him to take five courses and then pass a comprehensive exam proving his proficiency in tax savings, retirement planning, estate protection, disability, personal and business life protection. As a member of the Society of Certified Senior Advisors, he has demonstrated a consistent ability to protect and grow the hard-earned assets of his clients, many of whom have experienced major life changes including retirement, divorce, or the loss of a spouse.

Terry values education as a way to promote professional excellence. He is past president of the
National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors-Northwestern Michigan and currently serves as Sec/Treasurer. He has taught Planning for Seniors and Business Continuity courses for other advisors. Terry's writings include "Annuity Owners Mistakes", "How to Protect Yourself from Medicaid Spend-down" and "Answers to Eleven Long-term Care Objections."

Mr. Buyze is a well-known and respected speaker on a wide range of financial subjects. He also conducts a popular series of financial workshops throughout the year that help people understand the financial and estate planning process and make better financial decisions.

Jerold Foehl
has joined Senior Security as an investment advisor to aid senior clients in portfolio design, to maximize their investment returns while minimizing investment risk. Jerry works as a fee-based advisor with fiduciary responsibility to each client, owing no loyalty to a brokerage house or to investment products.

Jerry's background includes retirement from commissioned military service. His professional career includes licensure in life and health insurances, as well as teaching insurance and investment classes. Jerry has earned certifications in Long Term Care and he is a member of the
Society of Certified Senior Advisors and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. Married nearly 28 years with four adult daughters, he has lived in the Grand Traverse area since 1979.

With affiliates in
Brookstone Capital Management of Illinois and TD Ameritrade of California, Jerry readily helps clients to assess their financial objectives, their comfort level with investment risk, and recommends and monitors strategies to reach these goals.
